A thurgellian-colonized multiplanetary system in the Inner Sword Arm. Lugeeta is the main indentured trading hub in that sector. In addition, the system’s most powerful corporations enjoy a lucrative non-sentient goods trade with nearby independent systems.
The system is nominally ruled by a democratic-republican government based on the fourth planet. Domestic critics and impartial observers allege that the government is in fact utterly beholden to the system’s numerous corporate concerns.
An iktiklakt colonial society in the Yalteb Cut. Founded only a few centuries ago, the system is not as developed as most other iktiklakt systems. While the primary world is heavily populated, the outer system is comprised mainly of resource extraction settlements.
The Reciprocity relies on total surveillance, strict social engineering, and mental reprogramming to maintain control over its population. This control is absolute on the primary world, but incomplete in the outer system.
A rebellion recently erupted in those outer settlements. The residents and workers there have recognized that now is their last chance to throw off the domination of the Reciprocity before total control is established. Tolvaadus defense analysts predict a military victory for the rebels is unlikely.
Located in the Yalteb Cut, the Solanda system is the headquarters of Tolvaadus Hypercorporation Resource Extraction Division. Tolvaadus took possession of the system approximately nine hundred years ago; while the system’s primary purpose is now administrative, it remains an important source of several high value mineral resources.
Solanda Three, once called Earth by its native inhabitants, is the homeworld of the human species. It was rendered uninhabitable by a large scale nuclear conflict shortly before the arrival of Tolvaadus resource scouts in the system. Several thousand humans survived the destruction of their home planet on primitive space stations and extraplanetary colonies; these small communities would undoubtedly have perished in time as well had Tolvaadus not rescued them.
The survivors were indentured by Tolvaadus owing to their demonstrated inability to govern themselves, and to offset the debt incurred by the massive damage they had inflicted upon the system.
